About Ignacio Gómez-Acebo

Ignacio Gómez-Acebo has more than 20 years of international experience in strategic consulting and intellectual property management. He specializes in intangible asset strategy and protection, technology intelligence, technology transfer, IP valuation, and international tax planning related to IP rights.

He started his career at Telefónica Móviles in the technology intelligence division, then moved on to senior consulting roles at Roland Berger and KPMG Spain, where he managed the Business Advisory Services division. Over the years, he has led innovation, corporate development, M&A, and startup support projects across industries including pharma, energy, telecom, food, and consumer goods.

Since joining ClarkeModet in 2008, Ignacio has held several leadership positions. As Corporate Director of Technical and Legal Services, he oversaw legal and technical teams in 10 countries, managing more than 120 professionals. From 2020 to 2022, he served as Managing Director for Spain. Since 2023, he has been Regional Managing Director for Iberia, leading operations in Spain and Portugal and helping global clients unlock the full value of their intangible assets.

He has been recognized by Leaders League and WTR as a recommended expert in patent and trademark strategy and prosecution (2022 and 2023). His profile combines strategic insight, operational leadership, and deep legal expertise in the IP field.

Ignacio is a member of the Madrid Association of Economists.
