At ClarkeModet, we are pleased to announce two strategic appointments that reinforce our commitment to developing internal talent. Dina Chaves, until now Group Consultacy Officer, has been appointed Group Chief International Business Officer. Meanwhile, Luisa Castro, who previously led the Patents and Translations area, has been appointed Group Chief Operations and Quality Officer.
Dina Chaves will lead ClarkeModet’s international growth strategy, with a particular focus on the Asian and North American markets. She brings more than 20 years of international experience in intellectual property consulting, technology transfer, and intangible asset valuation. In addition to her 10 years at ClarkeModet, she has held senior leadership roles in the innovation ecosystem, including Head of the Office of Science, Technology and Higher Education in Portugal. Dina Chaves holds a degree in Sociology and a master’s degree in Globalization and Intellectual Property from the University of Coimbra. She has also participated in the Women on Boards (W50) Corporate Governance Program at UCLA Anderson School of Management (USA).
Luisa Castro will lead the Group’s corporate Operations function, driving transformation initiatives and service quality across companies in 13 countries. She has been with ClarkeModet for more than 15 years, during which time she has held a range of commercial and technical roles in Europe and Latin America. Luisa also has prior experience with other international intellectual property services platforms. She holds a degree in Industrial Pharmacy from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, as well as a master’s degree and a PhD in Intellectual Property and Innovation from the IP Academy of Brazil’s Intellectual Property Office (INPI). She is an Official IP Agent (AOPI) in Portugal.
