About Eder Gutiérrez

More than 10 years of professional experience in the Intellectual Property sector. Consultant focused on drafting and prosecution of biotechnological, pharmaceutical and chemical patents, as well as preparation of patentability, invalidity, infringement and freedom-to-market opinions.

Specializes in patent prosecution in Mexico and in countries such as the United States, Canada, China, India, and Japan and also coordinates the management of patents in Latin America and abroad from Mexico City.
Participation in research and engineering projects related to the development, characterization and optimization of microalgal biodiesel production processes.

Active member of the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property since 2016.

Education

  • Graduated in Biotechnological Engineering from the National Polytechnic Institute.
  • Master in Industrial and Intellectual Property by the Online Business School and the University of Barcelona.
  • Law degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico
  • Languages: Spanish and English
